Prefeito do RJ, MarceloCrivella corta quase R$ 50 milhões de verbas publicitárias da Globo
O jornal “O Globo” promove uma campanha feroz contra o prefeito do Rio Marcelo Crivella. Seria louvável se o objetivo fosse apenas a busca insaciável pela verdade dos fatos, a fiscalização impiedosa do poder, afinal, como dizia Millôr Fernandes, “jornalismo é oposição, o resto é armazém de secos e molhados”. Esse é o problema. Não se trata de rigor jornalístico e, sim, do “armazém de secos e molhados”.
Vamos prestar atenção em alguns números: em 2009, quando assumiu a prefeitura do Rio, Eduardo Paes aumentou a verba publicitária de R$ 650 mil para R$ 29 milhões, ou seja, inacreditáveis 4.432% a mais. Antes do fim do mandato, essa verba já era de R$ 150 milhões.
O maior beneficiado por essa generosidade com o dinheiro do contribuinte carioca era, naturalmente, o grupo Globo. Em 2015, os veículos da família Marinho enchiam os cofres com R$ 23 milhões de verba publicitária, mas o dinheiro parrudo – R$ 132 milhões – vinha dos acordos firmados entre a Prefeitura e a Fundação Roberto Marinho e o Infoglobo.
