Câmara aprova projeto de privatização dos Correios
Com 286 votos a favor e 173 contrários, a Câmara dos Deputados aprovou há pouco o texto-base do Projeto de Lei 591/21 que permite a transformação dos Correios em uma empresa de economia mista. Além disso, a proposta transfere para a Anatel a regulação do setor de serviços postais.
Neste momento, os parlamentares estão analisando os chamados destaques, itens que podem alterar o substitutivo do deputado federal Gil Cutrim (Republicanos-MA).
O relatório do parlamentar maranhense determina que a nova empresa vai operar serviços postais, de forma exclusiva, pelo prazo de cinco anos. A exclusividade inclui serviços como como atendimento, coleta, triagem, transporte e distribuição de cartas no território nacional e expedição para o exterior de carta e cartão postal.
Outros serviços que ficarão sob responsabilidade da empresa de economia mista Correios do Brasil (como ela será chamada a partir de agora) são entrega de telegramas; coleta, triagem, transporte e distribuição no território nacional e expedição para o exterior de correspondência agrupada.
Além disso, segundo o projeto aprovado, o capital privado estará proibido de fechar agências que garantem serviço postal em áreas remotas. E os servidores atuais não poderão ser demitidos pelo prazo de 18 meses após a privatização.
O projeto de lei de desestatização dos Correios foi entregue pelo governo em fevereiro pelo próprio presidente Jair Bolsonaro. Apesar disso, o governo ainda não definiu qual será o modelo de privatização, se venderá 100% das ações ou se manterá um controle minoritário.
